    Hi,

Is there a limit on the time which a retailer has to process a charge to be applied to a credit card? And if so, what it is?

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you in advance.

Visa/Mastercard scheme rules allow up to six months, but I have seen charges applied nine or more month later.

Some debits cards are 48 hours.

Some banks will automaticaly reject any late presentment, others do not. It is sometimes easier to dispute a very late charge, the merchant might have not the require documentation...
