    anyone follow this?
    anyone got any fancies?

i always look closely at nad al sheba every year as i have found there are some great winners to be had, especially if u pay attention to the early days of the carnival and the in-form trainers..... most horses will run 2/3 times in dubai......

it might be worth looking at some of saeed bin suroors runners today....after he had two winners on the first day.....

I'll be looking at the following today:

2.55 Hunting Tower or Hatta Fort, and perhaps some ew on kinanes Santiago Antitlan

3.25 i think Mike de Kock will take this one, however i think it might be the stables second string Blues and Rock (ryan moore) who'll take it.....jim bolger sends one out in this race, ard na greine, big price and drops in distance but might be worth a little ew...

3.55 two irish runners in this one from joanna morgan (won 7 days ago here) and ger lyons, however dettoris mount Asset might be the one....

4.25 difficult race, but i might go for ted durcan's mount calming influence, durcan has a good record here.

4.55 depending on price i might have a little go with ryan moores Bright Halo ew, he rides for brown in nad al sheba, however he has jumped ship for this race to ride for roualle.

5.25 big 16 runner handicap, probably best watched, but might have a little ew on love galore (johnston on form atm) or charpy's craigstown..

6.25 6f sprint on the dirt, i'm looking at either star crowned or force freeze ew

probably wont back all of these, mainly watching, hopefully to have some bigger bets towards the end of the carnival.....
anyway i have been known to go through an entire card and fail to pick out a single winner :))

Nice one on Hunting Tower Corban--Hope you backed him in the end.

I always enjoy the racing at Nad Al Sheba.Today I backed:

16:25---Jay Peg----I know Mike De Kock says he will improve for the run but I'm just thinking he is a Group 1 horse running in a handicap and as a front runner is unlikely to run into trouble.

    16:55---Bright Halo---Very good win record

18:25(Group 3)---Force Freeze---Course and distance winner who won nicely last time and looks like he will improve from that.Doug Watson often picks up some nice races at this meeting and Jara has shown in the past he is a capable rider here.

got off to a good start with hunting tower winning at 5/1

in the second, i should've went with godolphin as they had a one two, really on form atm and to be noted for the rest of the festival

in the 3rd, the 2 irish raiders performed very well with morgans finishing a good 3rd at 12/1, ger lyons' leandras finished 2nd at 9/1. should've won and one to note...

in the 4.25 calming influence came second, backed in from 4/1 to 6/5f. again this horse should've won, but for some reason the horse wouldnt leave the rail when asked by durcan. all he had to do was leave the rail and pass the eventual winner but refused, made durcanlook really awkward... another to watch as he will make amends before the carnival is over.

in the 6.25 star crowned came second at 15/2

    nad al sheba 29th january

    3.15:
i'll be looking at durcan's mount in the first, fateh field. it ran well here 14 days ago and should be capable of going one better. one at a bigger price and in with a shout imo is shopton lane. having its first run for doug watson i think it could be set up for this race. around 8s.

    3.45:
a big 16 runner handicap. i'm torn between de kock's brave tin soldier and bin suroor's yamal, both have massive claims. both might need close examination and the market might have some clues. kevin manning rides finnicus and at around 20's might be the ew alternative.

    4.15:
a very difficult race, but i'm going to look at bounty quest 7s and felix 14s as ew alternatives to the favs in this race

    4.50:
watsons elmstanser (very unpredictable) and shafya's moonquake at big prices might be worth an ew flutter imo

15.15 Il go for an ew shot in easy target was not to hard pressed last week but fancy at least a place this wk.
15.45 Dont no what price pointing north is but he could be anything so ill put my neck on the line and go for this unbeaten grade 1 winner.
16.15 Bounty Quest for me in this one.
16.50 Another Doug Watson horse ill go for Trust N Dustan
17.20 Think this could be between the Luca Cumani connected pair Sanbuch and Bon Spiel! Dont think he'd be putting Bon Spiel in a race with a former inmate if he didnt think he had a chance and i fancy this one.
17.50 Ill go for the in form A Atjebi/ Bin Shafya team here with Third Set won well here 2wks ago and could be the one to stop De Kocks threesome.
18.20 Last but not least ill go for Yasoodd ew in this 16 runner handicap!

Love the carnival. Good luck backin the winners!

fateh field finished 3rd.... never picked up when asked

yamal was second...and brave tin soldier placed 4th (backed it ew)

Bounty quest came 3rd at 8s

Moonquake finished second, backed it at 20s and it stormed clear, had everyone off the bridle early, i thought it had the race won, but got pipped near the line.... finished 2nd

As expected a poor day on the tipping front. Some of the winners today were hard to get.
