Don't know a lot about computers really, so help appreciated.

My computer downloaded SP3 (thought I already had it installed ages ago, but thats another story). Anyway when when I went to start the installation, it told me to back up first.

I take it I have to do this? What all do I have to back up? All my word files, videos and music and stuff? Do I also have to back up the drivers?

I think it means just user created files (so your music, pictures etc.) but backing up drivers would be helpful if it completely mucks things up and you have to re-install windows. Saying that I've installled new services packs dozens of times and have never backed up anything or come across any issues.

    Thanks for responding.

Think I'll just back up my photos plus the drivers, just in case.

How do I go about locating all my drivers and backing them up?

    Use a program called drivermax.

if it is made by hp or compaq and has an AMD sticker on the case, do a bit of googling before you install it, as it may not boot fully afterwards
