If I had a hot GF and could afford it I'd buy her the SLK. :)

I don't like the Z4's after i saw a man get out of one with a pink umbrellas and skip across to the hair place. Shouting "Heyyyyy" as he opened the door. People these days:rolleyes:

I'd have to get the SLK as one of my mates has a Z4.

Although he hasn't driven it for weeks as he's trying to sell it and has it sitting outside some dealership in Cork.

I know a guy who drove his mam's polo but used to call it a golf. If he had a z4 I bet he'd try and get away with calling it a z8?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

I've always had a fondness for the SLK. Honest, pure, small RWD roadster and the first car in the world with a metal folding roof

And before we get more innuendo about either car being ghey, hairdressers cars, etc, BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Even the humble 4 pot '97 SLK 230K does 0-100km/h in only 7s. It can be had for peanuts now. I'd love to own one, even if it was coloured pink :D

you dont actually see too many Z 4's about but ones in the UK are going pretty cheap ( 05 and 06's) even stick in the VRT and you can get one below 20k. only started looking at the SLK a few days ago must admit they are growing on me. some machines

I spent all of 2007 with that question. I started with this list:

The Audi TT, Chrysler(?) Crossfire, Lotus Exige, BMW Z4, Mercedes SLK, Mazda RX8, BMW 325 coupe, Alfa Romeo Brava, and Porsche Cayman.

I wanted an Exige. But it cant take luggage. Ever. So I dropped it. The Z4 was uninspired. The SLK's interior was horrible.
The Audi TT (08) won in the end. Price new, residuals, design, comfort, interior, performance etc. Best balance for me.

No regrets. Although I'd have loved an S5..
