2001 Laguna 1.6 - Timing Belt

Just a question to any laguna owners out there.

Have to get timing belt done (not done in 60k). Does anyone know who much this should cost - replace timing belt, and water pump. Just want to go in with my eyes open. Also, and idea on how long this job should take - ive heard Lagunas can be difficult for this job.

No one brave enough to owe up as a Laguna owner then (dont blame ye!)

If anyone has a ball park figure for timing belt and water pump change id appreciate it.

From a main dealer, around 600-700 for the timing belt kit and pump. Price will vary depending on whether you get it done at a Dublin dealer or country. The parts cost a few hundred, for instance the pump alone is ~100 quid, and IIRC the kit is over 200.

Renault main dealer on the very start of the naas road (just off the luas line near Kylemore Rd) was recently advertising a water pump & timing belt change for 400 Euro all in...
