Ok ive found an aspire one A110 with a 16gb SDHC card. Anyone ever use the a110, im particularly worried about the SSD, can it be replaced and is running Mac OS X or vista/xp off an sd card extremely slow?

Im running XP on an 8gb A110. Works grand, but im having problems since i put in another gig of ram. Windows wasnt the nicest to install either. Had problems from day one, but im gonna give it another go this weekend and see if i can right my errors.

I recently found this site and im gonna have a go following one of there methods.

As far as a Mac OS, im not sure what the story with drivers would be then? There are XP drivers for the xp version of this laptop, but there defo wouldnt be any Mac drivers. That said, ive no clue about macs.

I put xp onto mine with the aid of instructional video on youtube and works perfect.

Took some patience though but works perfect for me.:o

Just to clear the air about my earlier post.

Pretty sure my AAO is back in tip top forum. I suspect as I was piecing the laptop back together i didnt do the best job of reseating the SSD ribbon cable and got some BSODs because of it. Working perfect now, touch wood!

NOTE: If you do decide to get an AAO and put XP on it after it comes with linux, use a recent XP SP3 CD. I had problems with SP2 and it not recognising the intel Atom processor, and then after that you'll probably need to download batt.dll and put it into your system32 folder. Its a common problem ive been seeing.
