The last level of call of duty world at war when you finish is a boarded up house being invaded by wave of wave of zombies. greatfun.

quite realistic in the way you run out of bulets just as there is 20 zombies looking at you and you have to resort to running and using your knife...


the best part is when you know you will not survive you pop a grenade at your feet and take them all with you

Ahh, I remember playing Wolf 3d as a teenager. The Second "episode" was centered around fighting Nazi Zombies (with chest mounted machine guns) created by the evil Dr. Schaabs (or something like that!).

On the last level, he was the "boss" and fought you by flinging syringes filled with serum at you, and if you took too many hits, you'd become a Zombie yourself. It was quite cool, your face on the HUD would become grey and Zombie like.

In a later game, they introduced the "Uber-Zombie", who was quite a bit bigger and had a chain-gun mounted to his chest instead of a machine gun.

while Left4Dead is quite good, I'd like to see a long term survival game being set up, something on par with Fallout3 for scale (Ie. Bleedin Massive!).
Scavange ammo food and try to fortify your home. Daily scavange runs, maybe even some L4D boss Zombies roaming aboot.

Give me a Zombie MMO (not text based though) anyday. Would be fantastic to be able to play one. One where players wouldnt get to be zombies. They would be old-school zombies, no fast/strong etc ones, and would be in hordes of thousands. You can join different factions, such as scavengers, raiders, or just try and build and defend a town from the zombies/scavengers/raiders. Oh, and when you die, your dead. I dont want no ghost runs, or anything stupid like that. I dont know how that would work, with creating characters over and over again, so maybe some sort of clone type setup, with a genuine penalty for being stupid enough for getting eaten.

Stop with the fantasy bull**** mmo's, and give us a real zombie one.

Maybe a System Shock respawn chamber thing, where you have to pay for it. If you can't afford it get your friends to use the machine to ress you.

I suppose it's a little basic for a simulator in this day and age.
