might change the stem for a shorter one, would i be better of getting it online or from town?

Wheelworx in Clondalkin do, as does CycleSuperStore in Tallaght. Price is about 90 euro iifc (could be way off though on that!)

The €90 is for a full tri-bike fitting (which is quite tricky and time consuming). They might chrage less for a normal bike adjustment.

Cycleways does it. I had a fitting done there earlier in 2008. Ring to book and try get a time when the store is quiet. The guy doing the fitting (Kiwi bloke, Matt, I think) is sound and very helpful but he had to deal with other customers looking at bikes as he was on his own downstairs.
