You have to go into motor tax office and renew in person.

The above will work or you could try ringing them. Act all sorry and embarrassed and say you have lost your pin and you might get lucky enough that they will gve it to you over the phone.

Did this myself last year sucessfully. The lady I talked said they really were not supposed to do it but she would make an exception. She left the phone down to get my pin from her files or wherever, and I overhead another operator giving a pin out to someone else over the phone!

Worth a try if you are lazy like me.
