There was one posted up on lifehacker a long long time ago. use their onsite search engine and try and hunt it down.

If you're looking for something to deter people from stealing it get yourself a kensington lock. Any half decent laptop will be able to use one. You can use that to secure the laptop to solid objects like tables.

edit: I think you can get some fancy ones that sound an audible alarm when the cable is pulled.

those locks won't stop someone who is determined or has light tools
they will just stop someone casually walking away with one

I have opened some older Kensington Brand locks with a post-it.
Some of the pound shops are doing similar locks for €2

Only Kensington locking to your wrist works.

Personally I won't leave mine anywhere, nor fly with it anymore.

    Why not fly?

one reason is that they can search the files on your laptop and it's an offence not to disable/hand over passwords if the drive is encrypted in both the US/UK

in the US there is no guarantee that the contents of a business persons laptop won't be handed to some big American company

re-image the drive and download any private files when you arrive

If you must, you can write down the password when you reach customs, but the chances of your laptop being seized for a search is negligibly low. Nobody on board a plane or in a boarding terminal is going to have wire cutters on them. Even if id did go missing on a flight, I'd have enough time before we landed to report the incident and get everyone searched.
