I cant calculate for you how much you'd be entitled to but i know a friend of mine was told that in our area - she (living on her own) couldnt rent somewhere more than €90 per week. there could be a limit in your area so watch out for that,

Scroll down to the end of this page and it lists the maximum levels of rent that apply in various areas.

It doesn't look like you will fall under the limits, sorry to say, and they are pretty strict when it come to enforcing this rule - If your rent is higher than the limit set, they won't give you a single cent, they will tell you to move to a cheaper place (even if there is none to be had).
Sucks but that's the way they work the system - if your rent is higher than the limit set, they make you pay it all out of your dole money instead of helping even a little.

If you are paying that much rent, then you will probably not get any rent allowance. There are shedloads of good quality housing available to rent at a far lower rent, especially since the autumn, when Mr Poland et al went home.

    Does your wife work?

That's crazy money to be paying on renting a house.
