Hey I'm Volunteering in Kenya, Africa with kids... in August everything is paid for...
but I'm just wondering what should I bring for the kids... I know to bring loads of colors and coloring books... But has anyone got any idea of anything else might be good to bring... It's my first time volunteering so I'm a bit clueless...?!

    Teddies maybe ?!

Bring some beginners learning English books, aimed at kids. Learning English is the best start most of the kids can get, and the ones I met during a recent trip just wanted to learn and practise it.

oh god, i know im late to the thread, i travelled with i to i to kenya last summer. Didn't like the organisation at all.

Where in Kenya are you going? Regardless of how awful i to i are, you will have an amazing time.

I taught in mombasa for a couple of months last year and am dying to get back.

The best advice i can give you is save up or raise money, and bring money for the kids over. You can buy colours and all supplies there at a cheap price. This will help in 2 ways....

    1) you will be giving back to the kenyan economy.
2)you wont have to lug a load of stuff around.

also it will give you a chance to see your project and what is actually needed.

hope you have a great time!
