Absolutely depends on the car. Otherwise it'd just be your favourite colour.

I love White Jap cars, Subaru/mitz/Nissan etc but they are a complete git to keep clean. They must be washed regualry otherwise ul never get the dirt off.

Silver or grey has to be the easiest to keep clean in Ireland but you just
can't get the freshly waxed look on a silver car like you can on a black.

As said already it depends on the car but all else being equal for me silver or black.

I totally agree. Some cars look great in certain colours others don't.

It does depend on the car.

The big new A4 looks bad in red.

The golf then on the other hand looks great.

Red says a lot about a driver

and did you know that more people that drive navy cars crash more often.

I'm quite fond of BMW's topaz blue, although I'm not so sure how it'd look on, say, a small hatchback :)

It completely depends on the car.

For my car there's a nice Burnt Orange that I'd like, but if I was to have it sprayed I'd stick with Navy to avoid questions of a dodgy history.

    oh is this the Volvo???

If so I saw this cruise past me today out by Sixmilebridge. It was certainly a noticable car. That big a car in Orange.

That Volvo's still for sale....and has been for 2 years :D

    Blue Blue Electric Blue...

http://allthingscobra.tripod.com/blue_gallery.html - lots of good ones here

My car is State Blue Pearlesent - ( 7th from bottom) and I love it - the more time I put in with claying and polishing the more it gives back when the sun hits it - girls love it too :D

And any colour you'd see on an old 50's or 60's muscle car or 30's hot rod

its good to see some colour on the road - nearly every 00' I see is silver - I'd never buy that colour

Don't think I'd ever go for red either though - One of my friends had a Red 97' Fiesta which was a completely different shade on one side because of where he parks

I've always liked Dolphin Grey, or anthracite blue.

Savage colour on the right car.

That orange colour on the Volvo looks great, i have also seen it on a, V70 looks good too.
That said not sure it would look so good on other makes.

There's a light yellow A3 (0X-D-3) around here looks good though that colour would be terrible on any other car IMO.

I voted black as a general all round applicable colour

It really does depend on the colour. For instance, yellow, I wouldnt be seen dead driving a yellow car unless it was an Ascari a10 or a Lamborghini in which case it would have to be yellow(not that I will ever have this decision to make).

Topaz blue is very nice on the e46 3 series coupe alright.:D

It depends on the car but I would veer towards Black or Red

British racing green works very well on certain cars, but horrible on others.

    Black all the way!

I have silver trim on the windows of my new second hand Audi A4 which I'd prefer to be black too.

    Navy blue metallic.
Black cloth interior in a smaller car, beige leather interior in a larger car.

Generally black. Have it on my Volvo.

Some exceptions (coincidentally all Fords) I like though:

    Focus ST (Orange)

    All models (Blue)
