My OH's ma owes me money but it keeps me from having to interact with her so I am willing to let it go.

E-flow owe me 6 euro which I refuse to forget about.

Old job also owes me 2 days holiday pay.

I'm owed about 125k from various people going back a few years. The joy of being self employed. Strangely, all the money is owed by people who at least pretend and act like they are well off . I see one guy who owes 8500 for 2 years driving a new BMW, his wife who dosen't work manages to drive a new people carrier every 2 years.

    Yup.

One friend owes me €100 from last week when she left her wallet at home.
Another friend €70 (i want this back;))
    Another €70 for make-up brushes
House-mate €20 which he woke me at 5am on sat morning for a taxi.

I owe €10 to someone for credit but thats going to charity under their orders.

God knows how much my ex owes me, the bloody leech. But having to make contact with him to get it back just wouldn't be worth it.

Feel your pain. The guy that owes me money from before xmas owed me over €21,000 at one stage last year. Complaining about never getting paid from main contractors in one breath then telling me about his porsche 911 and brand new suburu impreza in another. Cheeky fecker was mates with my younger brother and promised me the sun moon and stars to work for him. He'll be seeing stars shortly if he doesn't cough up the cash!!

Yes, sounds like the typical bastard who owes me money. I have some customers who'll be up front when ordering stuff and tell me they won't have money for 4-6-or whatever weeks due to stage payment dates etc. No problem with them, I don't end up making promises of payment to my creditors i can't keep when i know when it's coming in. We can work around people like that as they always come good. It's the ****ers who promise the earth, mon and stars, and it's always 2 weeks time, but it never comes. They cause all the problems, and they all seem to be doing rather well themselves (on our money of course.) Makes me want to get violent at times, i'm sure i'll reach breaking point soon and do someone a lot of harm.

Don't know if you are in the building game like myself but it's getting worse trying to get money from people. I can abide (like yourself) someone telling you it will be a few weeks before they pay but the feckwits that tell you how well off you will be at the end of the job are taking the proverbial!! Rant over!!

Sorry - you're right, i lost 35%of gross income which is owed to me now after my self assessment was considered. Rang them the other day and they said all my accounts were in order - well why haven't you paid me the money you owe - we haven't got around to it, i'll do it now then. Hell you know what, you civil servants are great people. You deserve to be exempt from this recession - take a pay rise!!:rolleyes:

Am owed about €400 for various bills from various housemates. Never seeing that again.
Also due some tax back. Probably won't see that either.

On the other hand, I owe over €10,000.

    Definitely not balanced.

I sold a car to a mate of mine for €1500 (car was worth €3000) and told him to pay me when he was ready because he was only starting an apprenticeship I encouraged him to take.

That was over 2 years ago and still no sign. Thats what ya get for doing a lad a favour.

The missus and myself have a flat in poland that we rent out and the tenant hasn't paid the last two months, from the 1st of february it'll be 3 months rent owed. It's not much, €150 each month but every little counts these days.
