Hi, can someone please tell me how strict Aer Lingus are with there hand luggage? I see its 6kg and Ryanair is 10kg but ive often flew with Ryanair with much heavier hand luggage as it is never checked. Do Aer Lingus check if it is 6kg?

I flew with AL during the summer and they didnt check the hand luggage, iv never had hand luggage checked for weight. They key thing is that its a bag which you can fit in the overhead and preferably lift up into it yourself!!

They do seem to be stricter about the number of pieces of hand luggage you bring though. It used to be one hand luggage plus your (ladies) handbag or laptop case but Ryanair now seem to say its one piece in total even though I havent had that enforced either.

Thats just my experiences so far though
