Anyone pick this up yet? Easily as good as his first two (and better than that EP that came out a couple of months ago). I'm really digging the strings and wind instruments.

+1. Splashed out on the hard copy of the cd today. Couldn't really afford it, but really glad I did - those ambiguous lyrics, plus Hegarty's truly wonderful voice.

I think the songs seem more complete also - more like compositions. Maybe.

Just discovered this guy! and i think i love and hate his music all in the one go..

Can you recommend any songs in particular?

    This one, odie:

I really think it's one of the best songs I've ever heard. All hyperbole aside, it's an extraordinary thing. There used to be a fantastic recording of it from Jools Holland, but it seems to have vanished from the 'tubes of late.

If I only buy one Antony & The Johnstons CD, which one should it be?

I've heard them on and off on radio, but I've no idea which CDs the tracks come from.

Which album contains their most played/popular tracks?

    Thanks.

    D.

Not to be too emo about it, but I find it pretty hard going, emotionally. I love the music, but I don't always have the energy for it, if that makes any sense.

I would say I Am A Bird Now. It's great.

True but this doesn't have Cripple & Starfish on it. It would be nice to grow back like a starfish.
