Having problems with my laptop, a compaq presario v6500.
Whenever I set the performance level to balanced or high performance, the laptop gets very hot, making it not only uncomfortable but crash.
I've had it for over a year and I've been told i need to replace the fan.
Just wondering what you guys think, i've heard a laptop cooler is a good solution?
If i have to get it repaired and get a new fan , how much will this cost?

    Cheers.

Try cleaning the vents and fan, as dust may have clogged it.
