Licence for deer on new land

I 've been shooting this farm for about 5 year now 120 acres (could get permission for another 200 next door) and have seen the number of deer grow steadily over this time period. Before the start of the season I saw a herd of about 14 fallow along the edge of the wood. I have permission to shoot this land and getting permission for the deer would not be a problem. The thing is it is not an area previously known for deer and I don't know if they will give a licence for an area where there hasn't been a deer licence issued before. any ideas or help for an application for next year would be appreciated.

    FS.

once you have your deer hunting licence from your 120 acres.thats it, all you will want is permission of the owner of the sporting rights to hunt any where in the 32 counties.its always best to get this permission in writing if you can .

Thanks JW, you reckon they would have no problem issuing a deer licence for me on a new ground where there was no licence issued on before.

your licence you have will cover you to hunt on any ground in s of ireland 32 counties as long as you have permission. do you want to get next deer hunting on the new piece only ?.

You shouldn't have any problem, it is well understood that deer are expanding their range quite quickly and basically any land ajoining forestry will have deer at some stage.
