    Jaysus thats great news. The AAI Games are down there in May. Nice weather might see some fast times:cool: The curse of mondo tracks is that they can wear easily in very hot weather. Athlone should be ok on that front.

    Its MondoLicious!

    Was on it last night with my dodgy heel and its a breath of fresh air.Big floodlights all around the track made night sprinting a joy.Its very open to the wind and especially the last 100m.Second 100m and far bend are well sheltered though.
    Cant see it being a popular place for aai games spectators though,no stands,a 120m piece of tarmac for people to stand and watch the 100m but no wrap around walkway to get over to the other side.
    €2 for students and €5 per outside athlete to use it
