Grammaton clerics pistol has been released ( perhaps for ages just found out recently)

If you have not seen Equilibrium, it is a bit of a cult classic. Its silly in parts, but sports alot of sweet airsoft stuff ( g36k anyone)

I've always wanted these pistols. Unfortunately, these do not fire full auto like the film, also, it is essentially just a custom made compensator on a regular M9.

I wonder if the compensator kits are available seperatly.

I'm a sucker for compensators, this pistol and also the pistols used by Jean Reno in Leon are on my shopping list.

Its a great film alrite for some gun ballet.

At certain points in the film, the main character uses m93's with the comp kit, and at other times older model m92's.

Was watching this the other day trying to figure out what gen. m92 he was using, afaik, it varies for different scenes.

A kit would be great, I love the look of those guns and have an m9 myself.

I remember the WA 2000 bullpup sniper rifle was in it and it saw used and sounded like a shotgun:D

Yeah, one of the rarest sniper rifles on the planet and they have it in the film as a shotgun, that was a real waste.

You can see the bolt operate automatically each shot but they still added in a "cha-chick" shotgun sound each time, crap.

    Does the fire selector work?

    Edit: read the link :(

    Beautiful.
    Great film too.
I'd love to get one but I'd probably end up stashing it under my bed and never actually using it.

As far as I know the firing props are always the m92 with a sear mod for auto. The m93's were non firing props with receiver mounted selector switch. The switch isn't there in any scenes of the gun firing.

Edit: About the airsoft version, I saw some mini reviews when it came out last year. The general opinion was that it wasn't well made for the asking price. Some very nasty mould lines I think.

yeah from what im reading, there is not full auto on these models.

I want to get two, but i want decent quality ones that can be skirmished.

I know KWa glocks are sweet, and their new 1911 is absolutely gorgous, anyone any experience with their M9's?

Also anyone any experience with Airsoft GI?

Jesus christ ive practically a new loadout every week :(

    101st airborne
    cowboy
    Grammaton Cleric

€250 is steep for a kwa pistol though : /

Was googling away there and found a link to a forum where a guy cnc'd a whole kit for a kjw m9, new take down lever etc., looks class. He left out the m4ish selector.

TBH I prefer the one without the fire selector on the side, I mean, it has two safety switches now, gotta be extra careful in the future aparently.

I'd say the selector was mounted just for that one scene, where he puts it on safe, every other scene it is a smooth flush frame, and looks all the better for it.

Thats actually just a regular KWA M9 with stupid looking compensator, the M92 looks a bit different.

It would only take a couple of mins to make that fire fully automatic too.,

Even doing that fire selector would be handy enough, it just replaces the catch for removing the slide. you could just add an M4 fire selector on top of it.,

At first glance i thought they were swastiga's on the pistol grips.,lol

    Future nazis use m9 shocker!

I would absolutely prefer the smooth frame to the selector, using a hfc select fire m9 might suit one of these, seeing as the safety switch is present on the film model.

Really wanted one (ok two) myself but the quality of them
Just doesn't look that great. Would be tempted to make one though.

The link I posted, yerman kept the cnc files, they are done in solid works afaik.

Grab a cnc machine and get the files and make a few of those as kits, sell a few to re-coup costs and there you go.

    now yer talking' stercus!!

that in full metal == want!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,673 ✭✭✭✭senordingdong

Jaysus Sam you could make a new and sell them to us all.

if I had a mill I'd definitely make a couple....

    I'll eventually get one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,758 ✭✭✭Stercus Accidit

I can use auto cad, not solid works.

I also have absolutely no time free from college projects at the moment.

The lad who made the project has the solid works files, and may be convinced to sell them. If someone has a cnc machine, fire away, I'll buy one.

If anyone has a mill I can convert the solidworks files to a CNC program. I use solidworks a LOT in college. I'll accept payment in milled parts :D

I think we have one here in college, in the engineering building (not the arts block anyway).

Sure I have a mate doing mech. eng also, he'd have access to it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 382 ✭✭legologic

I've got a KJ m9 and solidworks 2009. I could probably whip it up in a few hours. Ironically I cant do it now as I have to study for an exam in rapid product development for tomorrow :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,758 ✭✭✭Stercus Accidit

He used a rail frame model, its how the kit attaches.

You can see the chamfered edge to accept the 20mm rail and holes to screw fix it, in the images in the linked thread on asr.

I've a smooth frame m9 but it looks like you'd need a rail frame.

I don't think so. If tou look at the last and second last photo's

That looks like a smooth barrel not a rail one
    eq_wip1.jpg

This bit is added on through the slide release hole (and pretty sure the hole at the front is freshly drilled) as an attachment point.

    Now... back to study :o

Ah didnt see that, makes it all the more tempting as it suits my m9, I hope its a solid fit though.
