Great for the OP to give us the heads up but Dunnes!!!! Local store hates me as if there's a problem I point it out and there is a problem every time I shop there. I've taken back their own brand cheap bacon before as it tasted of fish, the pigs get fed fish meal and the taste ends up in the fat, they are supposed to stop feeding fish meal for a certain period before the pigs go to the abatour but if fish meal is the cheapest feed it sometimes doesn't happen. Lidls beans are more expensive but there not bad, cheap stuff at Dunnes really is the pits!

btw, they still have the 24 cans of pepsi for €7.99 (and before anyone says it, I'm sure they are £4.99 or something like that up north)

I picked up a few of the promotions in Dunnes and have just tried the 17c beans, they're fine, no horrible aftertaste.

Well like they were only 25c originally so i dont think people are going to stop buying them because there now only 17c:D:D:D. I still expect Walmart to take over Dunnes pretty soon though...May get some of these offers in the meantime.......

BTW the rashers are scanning at €3.45 instead of €1.99.
Beware and challenge them on this.

OT but i wish dunnes had the same money back policy tesco has.

    Deli counter - westside, Galway

Denny BBQ ham 1.84, half price now 1.22

 Got a blank stare when i mentioned this to the butcher

Maybe its just luck on who you get but twice recently I was given a full refund when charged the wrong amount in Dunnes Northside. For instance, on Sunday I bought a load cheerios half price, got charged full amount and went to CS and they refunded me the fully amount. :)

This is only recent as they used to just give the amount you were overcharged by.

If you push them they always give a full refund for overcharging

Oh yes I wish they had the same policy too. I love catching Tesco with an overcharge. I've gotten a fair few freebies last year! :p

I would be more concerned about the post digestion effects. Had a nasty spell with Euroshopper beans some years ago....
