How likely would it be for Aib AND Boi be nationalised?

    Ok it is possible for one of them to go down, but how likely would it be for both banks to go bust?

    Percentage-wise ?

    I wouldn't take an even-money bet on it not happening in the next 12 months.

    So, I suppose in my opinion, better than 50%.

    Not many places doing well at the moment. However I think emigration will really kick off in about 1 year.

    will the likes of IL&P and other building soc follow suit if aib-boi are nationalized?

    The plain fact is that AIB is still a strong & sound bank which is internationally diversified, UK (RBS) & rest of Europe's failings are obviously having a knock on effect on it's share price but nationalising is not the way to go...shareholders/pensions etc. it would be a disastrous move!:mad::confused:

    so when (not if) anglo, aib and boi are nationalised does that mean all employess will become public servants?? share burden/shoulder to wheel/10% pay cut etc???
