Ok it is possible for one of them to go down, but how likely would it be for both banks to go bust?

    Percentage-wise ?

I wouldn't take an even-money bet on it not happening in the next 12 months.

So, I suppose in my opinion, better than 50%.

Not many places doing well at the moment. However I think emigration will really kick off in about 1 year.

The plain fact is that AIB is still a strong & sound bank which is internationally diversified, UK (RBS) & rest of Europe's failings are obviously having a knock on effect on it's share price but nationalising is not the way to go...shareholders/pensions etc. it would be a disastrous move!:confused:

so when (not if) anglo, aib and boi are nationalised does that mean all employess will become public servants?? share burden/shoulder to wheel/10% pay cut etc???
