    Hi all,

    I'm just wondering if anyone of you have ever been to Zakynthos and if so what part etc? I'm planning a trip this year and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    yeah was there about 5 years ago & stayed in laganas, the main resort. Its your usual resort with bars & clubs etc.. If you want somewhere quieter, head to tslivi or argassi. But saying that, laganas wasnt crazy either. We stayed in the anastasia beach hotel which was fine & had a great location-right on the beach.

    Hoping to see relics of an ancient civilisation? Try somewhere else.

    Stayed in Kalamaki.

    It was nice. My brother got on a pedle boat in the sea and went out to see the turtles...
    Too hot for me though. I spent from 12 to 4pm on the balcony of our room playing my nintendo ds. Couldnt bare the heat

    went to argassi last year with the OH first week in june was 40c out everyday very warm but was a lovely place. I stayed in the windmill bay hotel in argassi. it was a fabulous hotel and i am considering going back this year.

    the night life in argassi wasnt crazy but it was early season and at the end of the day it is how you make the holiday yourself.

    Price wise it was pretty similar to here but it was 2 for 1 to entice customers in to the bars -

    lots of excursions to go on so many that i could be writing for the night

    Zakynthos is a lovely island and it is so nice that me and the OH are looking at getting married there in 2-3 years:eek:
