Anyone know if you can get a Runners World subscription to an Irish address? Have picked up a few copies recently, however it seems much cheaper to get it by subscription - however, it looks like they will only do this if you live in UK.

I've had subscriptions to it in the past. Cost a fair bit more than the UK price but it can be done.
if you go to runnersworld.co.uk and hit the red subscribe tab, then go to the second box down and choose the oversea's and gift subscriptions link, you should be able to do it.

Thanks - had tried that, but it says that subscriptions are not available in Ireland. Mind you, I tried a whole host of countries, and for each one I selected it told me that subscriptions are not available for that country.

mmm, strange. maybe email rodale to ask them? Both Mr HM and I used to have subscriptions and only cancelled because we're in the UK almost every month these days so pick them up at airports on our way home.

oh, the other thing I remember is that postage was a bit random. Sometimes they would arrive just a couple of days later than to the UK people but sometimes it was 6 weeks.

and.... (yeah I'll stop eventually) if anyone is interested in a whole pile of old running and triathlon magazines. I did a clear out last weekend and there are a couple of dozen on the recycling pile at home. I'm happy to bring them to Dungarvan or Ballycotton if anyone wants them.

    hi Peckham,

I had an RW subscription for 2008, for delivery in Cork. It was not the easiest thing to set up - probably had to call them or sth, but was not a huge hussle, either. I don't think I will renew it for 2009 though (the content seems to repeat itself) - but they are trying to get me to sign up for another year and it looks like it would be £55 for the year/12 issues.

    good luck

Got this subscription about 6 months ago - won't bother again. As with HM I find the delivery slow, usually about 2 weeks behind Easons, it comes from Germany. Your better off buying it in the shops if you can get to a shop that stocks it.

Go to runnersworld.com and get the u.s version, much better and cheaper. I think it cost me E50-55 last year.

yep, this is why I cancelled mine. They do allow them to Ireland and it is cheaper, but often I'd get say Jans one when Febs was already in the shops!

Was handy to have the access online to sub only content, but that was all really.

Just a lateral thought - have you tried any of the book stores in NI - I'm sure some of them offer a postal service.
