    Hi all,

Have about €4000 to spend on a car, I'm not looking for anything in particular but have been driving an Astra and would like something along those lines.

Everyone keeps telling me that its a buyers market but don't know where to start - Any suggestions??!!

For the money your talking about, its got to be a Focus really, good cheap, reliable and they are plenty of them around, just try and avoid the 1.4 if you can, otherwise cant go wrong really.:)

I was under the impression there was feck all difference between the 1.4 and 1.6 Focus.

Anywho, OP, what are the constraints?

    Big/small, 3/4/5 door, petrol/diesel etc. etc.

Preferably 5 door - had a 3 door once and hated it! Petrol or diesel doesn't bother me. There are no real constraints just something fairly standard, not too heavy on the juice and reliable.

Was looking online there are a few 2003 astra's on there - would a focus rate higher than an astra?!!
