So, as there is a posse of bordsies at this one, how will we know each other if we haven't already met? Meeting on Showry's doorstep for toast and blaas :D? Oh, and what are your targets for the race so maybe we can pair up or bunch up for pacing? I'm looking at a pb so around 69 mins for me.

well im going but wont be trying to PB, i did 62min in dungarvan last year and it is supposed to be even faster this year with wide roads for an uncongested start so its perfect for a PB.
i will prob use it as part of a long run ...run 15/20 early in the morning then do 10 in dungarvan .
i will find this easier then just doing it all in one session.
not sure how we will meet up prob best to let showry decice where would best as he lives there and arranged to be there an hour or so before the start.

oh i will be the little grey haired fella who as amadeus put it when he met me "you dont look like a runner":D

I'm the 3rd one from the left
I'll hopefully be aiming for sub 70 and a new PB but I have no idea what shape I'm in. The last few xc races have messed with my confidence a bit, so I'll know more after Raheny this weekend. I'll know Sungod already and he has one of those faces you don't forget :D

My place is about 50 metres from the start so we could congregate there or down at the sports centre.
I can put directions up here next week.

For visual reference I'm the baldy one on the right here

Timewise, I was originally hoping sub-70 but after Mallow I'd love to do 65 something.

I'll go with you and hang in for as long as I can, sure if I die in the last 2 miles I'll get a pb anyway :D

Been a while since I was in Dungarvan and didn't realise it was the far that far from me.
But going to give it a go. First 10 mile race for me. Best time for the distance would be the last 10 miles of the Longford half lmarathon ast Aug in 64:20.
    Hopefully will beat that.

I'll be there too, but as regards pacing I'll be watching you lot disappear into the distance after mile 1 or 2:(.

Did 76min in Mallow so sub 75min will be my target, although have been dogged with a calf muscle injury (receiving treatment) since Christmas.

Showry, I think I might know you.
Would it be fair to say that you were "a good deal heavier" in your younger years? Or is my radar completely off?

It's more than fair to say I was "a good deal heavier" in my younger years. Any clue as to how you might know me?

If I can't get rid of this ankle injury I might be walking around the course.

Worked in the fair town of Dungarvan many (many) moons ago. You had serious romantic intentions for a co-worker of mine (MM).

had to do some detective work on the Mallow AC website. Your former co-worker says hello.
