Anyway Its between HRTA, Drogheda or Waterford then. Opinions on those few then? Which one would you go to and why? Thanks guys

Id like to add Fingal Airsoft also as i only checked out distance on the map now and its reasonable. Thanks

Why specifically those ones? There's also SAS-Cork, G-TAC in Galway, and Fingal Airsoft and The Warehouse in Dublin, not to mention this new one starting in Meath soon and I've heard rumblings of another one starting. That's also not even mentioning the sites in the North like Predator and FRV.

Maybe you have reasons for just mentioning those but we have such a wide range now available in this country that was nothing but a pipe dream just two years ago that they really all deserve to be mentioned. It's only when you see how many we have and how much diversity we now have on this small island that we can see how far we've come. It's to be commended and applauded.

What they said. Try 'em all, see which one you like. The SEAC club venue isn't open quite yet, see their thread for more details.

As others have said, there's a lot more depending on how far you want to travel. See http://www.irishairsoft.info/index.php?title=AirsoftSiteList for basic location.

Every site has its own advantages and disadvantages, of course. What kind of game do you want to be playing?

The only answer to this is:
    Personal Preference.

I suggest you try them all.

I agree with the previous comments, every site will be different, and pretty much the same price so far apart from the indoors which understandably have higher overheads. Any i have been to so far have been really friendly and its been easy to land in on ones own and get straight into the buzz.
The more sites the better really, as long as they are all safely run and official. Pleeeeze dont be tempted to head off to some woodland without permission. This sort of activity really creates bad stuff for the sport as a whole.

Sites have different appeal for different people.

What type of player are you - Skirmish, Cqb, Mixed ?
    Where are you located?
Everyone finds their favourite by trying a few, Where have you tried so far ?

Thanks for your replies guys. The reason i only picked the 3 above is because they are within the distance im willing to travel for now. Around 1hr to 1.5hrs from my crib. To answer the question of what type of player i am, Im new to airsoft so dont really know yet. Although the outdoors appeals more. Even woodland sites but not picky at all.

The reason i posted was to get an idea of what the 3 venues were like, Good and bad points, the style of play that goes on at each, size and your overall opinions of each..... Thanks again

I suppose in that case HRTA will give you a slight taste of what all sites have to offer, but only a slight, EVERY site requires a different playing style, HRTA uses CQB(a taste of the warehouse) as well as a lane circling the site that gives you a slight taste of drogheda, because its a very varied site that requires alot of changes in youre playing style and is fast paced, you will find wether you like cqb sites more, or wooded sites more, also it helps you find youre playing style pretty quickly, which helps once you play in other sites

Enviro, just in case you get the wrong impression, I was not being snippy or asking questions to appear awkward. Most people here appreciate the effort that the site operators have made to provide us places to play. At this stage of the sport, no one wants to start comparing sites or say one is better than the other, they really are all different in different ways. In the end, It's the players that matter really, you will be made welcome at any of the sites, just come along and join in.
Looks like you have a wide choice, don't forget Fingal also & The Warehouse for indoor.

Anyway - WELCOME TO AIRSOFT ok.
