i cannot just commit to a solid hour of study no matter how hard i try. its crap cos in college i promise myself i will, then i end up just arsin between playing ps3, using computer, chatting with the lads and cooking and then getting ready to go out.

kinda sucks comin up to exam time when i realise how ****ed i am, but till then....

    im living the dream

same thing. unfortunatly this site and Youtube is quite tempting to go on rather than study Gringnard reactions/Metabolism ect.

I don't find it too bad, but I get more done in college by far, but I can still put the work down when I need too in halls. Also try heading up to the Old Ham house, I get a good bit done there too.

When I was in Halls I didn't generally have that exact problem, because half of my flatmates I didn't really talk to much and the couple of lads I did were both fairly studious themselves. What got to me though was trying to study in your room, which also happens to be where your laptop and internet connection is... >.< Judging by the time of your post I'd say you have the same problem! Have they opened the "canteen" (which is only ever actually a canteen during the summer) for night study yet? They do closer to exam time anyway, it can really help.

On topic though I'm having that problem this year now that my flatmates are a bit more interesting and I get on with them a bit better. No real cure for it, you just need to learn not to leave the room while you're studying.

    Unhelpful I know :P
