External Hard drive - isn't recognised?

    Hello again

    treated myself to an iomega 320GB external hard drive the other day

    only problem is after formatting the laptop won't recognise it... well, it will in the disk management area, but not in the 'my computer' to allow me put stuff into it...

    not sure what to do.

    Vista system etc

    If it was XP I'd say check the assigned drive letter in disk management and make sure it's not conflicting with one you already have and if so change it, but since it's vista this probably won't be of any use :)
