Well we have finally decided to do it. Four of us are going to drive to Mongolia this summer for the Christina Noble Children's Foundation. Paid the (bloody expensive) entry fee so there is no turning back now.

For those of you who don't know, the Mongol Rally is an annual charity rally from London (Dublin in our case) to Ulan Bator (Mongolia) a gruelling trek of 10,000miles or so, with less than half of that on traditional roads, dirt tracks more like. We plan to raise around €10,000 (euro a mile) for the Christina Noble Foundation and of that about €2,000 online though mycharity.ie. The whole journey should take around 5 weeks, all in a small 1litre(ish) car.

The Car: Looking at getting a Toyota Yaris Verso (if we get it for free), if that fails all avenues will be explored, although this year the car has to be post-2000 and cost less that €1000.

Sponsorship: We have set up a sponsorship page on mycharity.ie when you can donate as little as €2. These funds go directly to the Charity. We also hope to bring few corporate sponsors on board.

You can sponsor us at My Charity.ie

    View our website www.vagabonds09.com

    View our Bebo page Vagabonds09

Or view the official website www.mongolrally.com

Also if anyone here has done this before, we would be delighted to here from you.

    Thank You for you time!

    Lauder
