    If this happens it is the best news of the decade. God, the world really needs Pavement again. Their intelligence, cynicism, talent and originality are sadly missed.

    Love Pavement, Slow Century is a great DVD. Would always put it on when I got home from the pub and sit around with a few more beers. They were a bit crap live but I'll forgive them if I get to see them reform.

    if true...it would be deadly....i slapped on slanted and enchanted the other day..... reminded me of how far ahead in terms of quality they were compared to almost any indie band at the moment.....

    I don't know. I thought Malkmus was pretty dire at the EP, he has some inspired moments of greatness but overall there's a lot of filler in his music these days. And the thought of Pavement coming back together just as a cover band slightly irks me.

    But hopefully if they reform the youthful energy and cynicism that made them great will stay in tact, and they'll write some new songs together.


    Also...I wouldn't believe a word NME has to say!
