Holidaying in Spain with an infant

We're travelling to Bilbao in late April, with our daughter. She will be 6 months then.
We're hoping of getting an apartment, maybe (so we'll be able to prepare food for the young one ).
Does anyone have experience of holidaying with a baby, particularly in Spain as regards accomadation, food, etc.

The family went to Spain last year with a 2 year old and a 7 month old in a villa in the Spanish countryside in Andalusia. Had no problems - bought all the stuff for the 2 weeks there - nappies, wipes and that kind of thing in the Carrefour. Also managed to buy little yogurts and ready made good there too.

The Spanish people are very welcoming to children and even eating out in the evenings there was no problem with bring the children along.

If your baby is on infant formula make sure you bring your brand with you as the same brands are not over there and your child could reject a Spanish brand. Nappies are no problem however they seem to only stock them in packs of 100plus
