What number are you telling the dial-up profile to dial?

As far as I know, for vodafone it should be:

    *99***0#

Make sure "Dial Area Code" is unticked/disabled.

Please post up whatever error messages you get.

Also, can I point out that using this method to connect to the internet is obscenely expensive. So I hope your either chalking it up to expenses, or you just won the euro millions.

Cheers, it just stays showing "opening port"

    And then

"Erroe 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly"

I didn't know it would be so expensive but I will only be using it for a few minutes whenever i am stuck and need to check something cheers.

watch out for the costs here mate!!!!!!!

unless you have a data plan they could be through the roof and even that is understating it a little.

you should be able to do it through the samsung pc studio that should handle most of that stuff for you. it should just be a matter of putting the access point (isp.vodafone.ie) and username and password in (both vodafone)

if you're on pre pay it's 19c per mb and if you're on bill pay you should get the isp add on or it'll cost you thousands

Cheers lads, i've been warned all over the place about the price so i've ordered an o2 dongle instead. Better coverage in my area on o2 over 3 and vodafone. I'll still try work out the phone just to see if i can get it working and i'll let you know what happens.

    Cheers :)
