Sindo latest: Charlie Chawke for Pope!

The Sindo has really excelled itself today.

In a report about Charlie Chawke wanting to visit one of his attackers in jail, Niamh Horan compares the publican to JP2.
In a moving gesture that would echo the actions of the late Pope John Paul II who forgave his attacker, Mehmet Ali Agca, during a visit to his prison cell in 1983, Mr Chawke said: "I plan to visit him. It has been going around in my head for a while.

What a load of drivel. How on earth do so-called journalists at the Sindo get away with making such lame comparisons? What next? Ian Paisley is the next Mahatma Ghandi?

Having a go at the Sindo is just too easy at this stage. It no longer has standards and holds itself up for ridicule week after week, not that it matters to the 1 million readers who lap it up every week.
