Is it possible to get screen shots of a bootable CD bar taking a picture of the monitor?

I know basically nothing about VM but i though it would be possible, can anyone point me in the right direction with it?

I'm also open to other suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

Download Microsoft Virtual PC for free. Pop in cd and take screen shots as normal.

Or get VirtualBox or VMWare. They're fairly straightforward to use. Essentially you create a new VM - boot it from the CD and screenshot away.

    whats the bootable cd?

If it is linux, just boot from it, capture the screen, save the image to your desktop, mount your local harddrive and copy it across.
