SKY + Hard Drive Replacement

My sky + box has given up recording, green light on all the time. Box works fine for viewing CHs but will not pause or record. Strongly suspect HD has packed up.
Having read thru the postings I see some people are having trouble with newer versions of sky software. Is it still ok to go ahead and replace the hard drive with for example a Samsung Spinpoint 320GB drive..??? Or will I run into problems. ??
I have some experience and will be able to follow the procedure no problem. I am reluctant to purchase new HD until I am sure the replacement can still be carried out.
If anyone can offer any advice on what HDs are compatible I would be much obliged.
    Thank You

Check out this site for hard disk compatibility

I recently upgraded my Pace V2 box with a Seagate 500GB drive (ST3500630A). Worked a treat and I never have to worry about running out of space again!

These guys might be able to help you find a compatible disk
