    Hi,

I am running a community cheerleading team in Finglas and I am looking to take the children to a competition in Coleraine in April.
I am having problems getting financial assistance from anyone which is a shame as I have 50+ kids from the Dublin community who have received nothing from their city. They are good kids and work hard. Sometime I tend to think its only the kids who are bad who get more things. Very sad it is.

Does anyone know who might be willing to sponsor our team or even make a donation?

Any ideas would be great as I have approached nearly 100 Dublin businesses and no one will help.

We have issues with raising funds for our team. Unfortunately here in the Finglas area, many parents don’t have funds to support the children in the competition and its sad to say there is about 20 children we cannot take with us to the competition as parents cannot afford the costs.
I personally try and keep the costs down and spend my own money to buy equipment for the team.

What cheerleading is, it is a sport that engages children’s minds from an early age...not only are they learning cheerleading and dance. They maintain physical fitness, they learn leadership skills which will enable them to be positive role models for their peers and they get the chance to be in and work as team.

I do not stop people from joining our team like other sports would. Our doors are always open.

    Thanks for your time
