Rabbit and Deer skins wanted--

    If you generally bin these by-products of homestead meat production then read on.


    I be interested in taking frozen rabbit and deer skins off some of you lads.
    I can collect from anywhere in Ireland..

    If anyone asks what i want them for you can tell'em I'm making a smoking jacket;);)

    Just PM me to arrange collection.. Sure no sense on putting them in the bin.

    PS don't want skins that are badly cut, a few slips of the knife wont matter or a bit of flesh or fat, even a bit of a smell.

    look lads i have a body that will be able to tan large deer skins for a small fee!! I'll do the rabbit ones my self.

    If you gather up a few rabbit skins and freeze them till you have a good few then i;ll collect them and I'll try and make some use of them-
    its a shame to waste such a valued resource or any resource for that matter but especially when the previous owner had to give up its life as well. At the moment i have 7 deer skins and around 20 rabbit skins, some i have to still collect today (i hope)..
    But its not a bad start..:)

    ivan i would not go walking in wicklow of a eve wearing your deer skin jacket griffen might be out culling and he always shoots the sick ,n infirm first:D

    All jokes aside your dead right.. Out walking at this time of year wearing anything that resembles an animal might get you in trouble:eek:

    Anyway I have just enough Skins to send a full load down to my contact in Balltinglass..
    I'd like to thank all those that made the effort to help. But now i have enough deer skins for the moment and TBH i'd rather wait and see how these lot turn out before i start looking for more...

    As soon as i have he details i'll pass them on to you.
    I'm only in contact via an mutual friend at the moment but hope to meet up with him early next week, he does sheep skins and the like but i think that me and another friend are having to pester him to get this done..
