I am looking to upgrade my HTPC graphics to enable gaming on it. I want a single slot card and I am looking at maybe the ATI 4670 or 4850 (no particular brand) but am a bit concerned that they might be too loud as I have read they as they get quite hot some brands coolers make alot more noise than others.

Just wondering if anyone has used either of these cards, how they found them or if there are any other cards that maybe better for HTPC gaming in relative quiet.

I have the 4850 and it is very quite. runs all games perfect @ 1080p. fan gets quite load while gaming but silent while watching films ect. gets extreemly hot though so you need good airflow.

Thanks mediacentre.ie. Just received an MSI HD4850 card however it is a dual slot card and the picture on the Komplett website shows a single slot card! Have to send it back as need to preserve space in the case.

Do you have a single or dual slot card or can you recommend a quiet single slot card?
