    Hiya,

All today the box has being saying this, got home from work and tried a system reset and planner rebuild, I'v had no luck on either. Anything it could be? It has been raining alot today, but stopped now, would that have anything to do with it? And it was pretty windy too, would the dish have moved? Im only installed 2 months, would i be charged a call out fee if there was something wrong with the equipment? Will I call sky themselves, or go to the agents i got it from? (something i dont want to do, since it took them nearly 2 months to install it anyway)

Yes, very heavy rain and you can loose signal. From the weather you have had in Ireland today I would be looking at re-aligning the dish, I'm afraid.

Mines gone too in the last few minutes, the first time in ages.

Its snowing quite heavy outside at the moment so I`m putting it down to that.

use the cheap sat finders to get a rough alignment. then if you can use the sky box signal strength bars to fine tune the dish alignment. sometimes as well the lnb has to be skewed for best reception.

If it's a SKY controlled install, give them a ring as they should give you a free engineer call as it has been less than three months. It sounds very much like the dish has moved due to the high winds, but a properly installed SKY dish should not shift, unless you're in a very exposed area. Doesn't hurt to call;)

    Worst wind in ten years,
Very few domestic dishes are designed to withstand 140/170 kms gusts.

Similar situation but I only seem to have lost the Irish channels, while the others remain. Any explanation for this?

:D Quite heavy snow too for about and hour and a half. It was definitely the snow that lost my signal. It was gone completely for about 90 minutes when it snowed heavily with little or no wind. After it stopped the signal came back. Checked signal strengths and qualities and they are both fine again.
