I would like to move all my pictures on second hardrive, but I would not like to loose all data in the LR catalogue.
Could you recommend me how to do it, please? I would prefer if there was directly possibility in LR (to keep files, folders, collections intact).

Simply move your lightroom folder to the new drive then follow the instructions here.. http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Lightroom/1.0/WS3BC0B0A1-D48C-4271-891D-DA04EF388E29.html
    to locate the missing files.

I would create the new toplevel folder in the new drive, import one new photo from it (just to create it in the LR catalogue), then just drag the existing folders, and their files into their new home using the folders panel in the library module of LR.

Definitely a better way of doing the job...
I've only ever had to do this due to accidents so the find missing files option was right for me but your solution is definitely a better procedure in this case... I'm sure they'll both work though.

Moving and Searching didn't work. I am moving back again and I'll try the second advice.

Strange, I've moved a few folders that way. I must have got lucky.

Hope it works for you this time.

Drag and drop action within LR works nicely so far. Well, I had other things to do those two hours of moving data :D
And thanks for response, any opinion is worth reading and considering. If it's not mine ;)
