    Hi once again,

Does anyone know off any benchmarks I can compare my sprints time to? Ranging from 30m - 60m and 100m also is long jump and triple jump.

Last enqury is about my date of birth I just want to know if its good or bad in terms of sprinting competitions (9TH maRCH 1988).

Also does doing squats alot increase you speed?

Check past results on provincial websites and the athletics Ireland site if thats the benchmarks you mean.If your mean European or World standards/benchmarks again check out the IAAF website for past results.
As for squats,Its a very vague question as they do not improve speed on their own!Squats and variations of them are to be part of a structured weights and conditioning program. If you dont know what they are doing for you i would say you shouldnt be doing them! I would advise getting a coach to advise you.

Unless you have a speed gun your exact top speed would be difficult to calculate.Average speed is simple maths using your distance and time! If you do 100m in 12.0 seconds thats an average of 30km per hour. You can do the same thing for your 30m and 60m segment to try and pin point any weaknesses.

I usually do 100m less than 12sec without trying. I use a laser gate to time myself in college my 30m pb was 4 sec and 60m is 7somthing
