    Hi Folks,

I would appreciate your support with the following website www.fleadhspace.com which was set up to promote Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2009 to be held in my home town of Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

New members are very welcome, likewise if you are planning a trip around Ireland this year you won’t be disappointed with the craic and sessions to be held over the weeks festivities.

    Slainte,

    Raymond Daly.

    PROMOTION OF FLEADH CHEOIL

Fleadh Cheoil, August 21-23, 2009. The 2009 All-Ireland Fleadh will be held in Tullamore, County Offaly - This is the third year for the Midlands town to host the All Ireland Fleadh.

With a tradition that includes prolific traditional composer, John Brady and the All-Ireland winning Longridge Céilí Band, Offaly has a strong musical reputation down through the years. In fact last year’s Fleadh in Tullamore was judged to have been one of the best All-Irelands in this genre of top Irish traditional festivals.

The Fleadh is now an 8 day event, incorporating the Scoil Éigse (the Comhaltas Summer school) running for the full week before the event and the Seachtain na hÉigse 2008 with 2 or 3 events and concerts every night of the Fleadh week. More information can be found at the official Fleadh website.

The All-Ireland Fleadh is Ireland’s premier traditional festival. The Organising Committee are aiming for over 250,000 visitors and 11,000 musicians to attend this year’s event.

The national finals for the annual Irish language conversation competition, in which all counties participate, will also be held at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
