Packers have signed Dom Capers as their new DC. Capers has an impressive record turning defences around.

If the defence turns out to be comic, Capers will be a headline writer's dream...

I'm more than hopeful for the coming season. In fact, I'm expectant! The offence is top five material already, and will get better as Rodgers does, and with Capers and Trgovac (seem like a good fit) the defence should improve massively. If Capers can work his magic, the Pack could be back as early as next year.

My chief worry about the Packers this coming season is the 3-4 set up. Playing OLB is a lot different to playing DE and I hope Aaron Kampman can step up to the plate and do this. If not, its time to scour the free agency!

The Packers' chief objective in the Draft should be to replenish the offensive line. Tauscher, Clifton etc are not getting any younger and there is some good talent to be had for the trenches in this Draft class.

Kampmanns a beast, he's as fit to play the Ware role as any, but the 3-4 is based around bringing 5 men in pressure, and to hide where the pressure is coming from, Montgomery would have to step up also, on the strong side. Have doubts about the Nose tackle Pickett/Jolly aswell

Theyve got to start thinking of replacement corners aswell. Harris and Woodson 34 and 32 respectively, Woodsons still pretty hot, totally deserved his ProBowl berth, but we're talking big picture.

And that O-Line has to be amongst the most penalised in the League, everytime i watch them they have countless false start/holding calls

    Kampmanns a beast...

    +1.

The guy's got some motor, probably more suited to playing the type of sideline to sideline ball of linebacking than the smash mouth stuff on the line. Now if they could only sign Haynesworth or Peppers... :)

Rumour has it Peppers wants out of Carolina and his former defensive coordinator is now the line coach in Green Bay. Rumour also has it that they're not exactly love buddies, which might spell trouble
    for opposing QBs.
    :D

no probs with offense! maybe 2 or 3 strangled turnovers that will be cut out with time but when ur defenseive is weak you have to push hard for those extra points. maybe with a better defensive team you'll see rodgers be more comfortable on the downs...
