How much on average should I pay to see a Chiropractor?

I have made an appointment with a certain Chiropractor. I have been informed on the phone that the first visit will cost 150. The receptionist tells me he will need to do some sort of a scan!! No radioactivity though.

Now I am thinking am I just going to get robbed. I have had pain in my shoulder blade for years but have done nothing about it, I believe it is caused by bad posture.

Is the Chiropractor the correct person to go to?

Better of going to a physiotherapist than a chiropracter, but that's just my opinion.

Chiro's are a little better then physio - although still a little unknown in Eire! Should only be paying 50 euro for initial consult then cheaper thereafter. would advise x-ray too which is what might be included in that 150euro for you. cured me a treat. shop around and get recommendation - contact the chiro of ireland too - registering body

That's very much debatable. Maybe you've had a good personal experience, but the evidence on Chiro is far from compelling and the industry is not well regulated in Ireland.

My first visit was 70 (hour long visit) and 50 there after.

My husband had a trapped nerve (according to doctor ) in his hip/leg which was causing him agony -he was prescribed very strong painkillers and a referral for an MRI scan (six weeks ago and still waiting for an appointment btw)

I made an appointment with a chiropractor -€50 for first visit, and €30 thereafter. By the third visit his back pain and swelling of his thigh was GONE. I can honestly say it was miraculous, and worth every penny! I was so gobsmacked, I mentioned that I was going to have to book a session for myself for my neck pain, and he sorted it for me there and then, one whack (!!!) and done:D -not had a twinge since.Didn't charge me a penny !!
