for the six nations games, specifically the wales game

where would you go to see about getting tickets?

do you have to go through clubs, or do they go on general sale?

if its clubs, would it be small local ones or would it have to be fairly big ones?

need to get one for this game and have never done so before, so dont know where to start

    cheers

If you're involved with your local club (Dundalk RFC right?) then you'd have no issues getting tickets away 6nation games as thats the main distribution channel.

That Welsh game this year is sold out.

Home games can be more difficult, but have a little easier since the move to Croke Park. I've managed to get tickets for a good few games just by signing up to the Supporters Club

those sites are nothing more than online touts. Please don't link to them.

If there is a big group heading over, you could ring up the millenium stadium and see if you could get a box.It may end up at slightly more per person but it will be an unbelievable experience, personal bar and food etc.

    Edit

    found it
    http://www.millenniumstadium.com/302_10877.php

Cheapest box is aroud €500 per person

If you can get a few more to go its probably still worth it though.

    Gold Boxes
These boxes are located around the prestigious level 5.

Each Gold box package will include:

    Post match snacks
Full complimentary bar of beer, wine, soft drinks and 5 spirits
Tickets within your own private hospitality box, situated on the prestigious level 5
    Official match programme
Limited edition gift to commemorate the day
    Hospitality Manager in attendance
Welcome host to greet you and your guests

Maybe there should be a stickied thread in this forum, explaining how tickets are distributed for international matches/heineken cup, Magner's League etc, and where to get them.

I'd write it myself, but its not something I know a lot about.

Tout site or not, they are the only place to get tickets.

If someone is willing to pay over the odds because they couldnt get tickets then its their decision.

I see nothing wrong with it and once again the moral brigade come to town.

While i dont agree with touting at all, is it not a contradiction to ban touting websites being posted, yet the google ads that come up when your are on the rugby board link directly to similar sites?

Yeah those google ads are a pain. I believe the admins have had looked into getting some of the more dodgy stuff (sexlines, etc)excluded from the site. i'll ask them about this stuff too

Boards.ie does not condone touts or the support of touting. Those ****ers get tickets that should go to genuine fans and the touts profit by exploiting this demand and profit at the expense of the game.

It don't really matter if you see nothing wrong with it... Boards sees something wrong with it if you post about one of those sites you run the risk of being sitebanned.
