Been going through season 1 of this show and it's awesome.

It stars Glenn Close and focuses on the methods, standard and otherwise, that driven New York lawyers do to make their case. Probably a bit fantastical but entertaining nonetheless.

On about episode 6 now and it's gripping stuff.

Anyone else on boards a fan?

Hi, if you do a search there are threads for both seasons of Damages in the TV forums. And I agree, it is a great show; hopefully the second season will develop as well as the first.

Mods give out about bumping old threads for some reason.

Don't see it in the listings for RTE tonight. Digiguide has it listed for Friday night on RTE2.

I watched the first two episodes and have to say that this show is fantastic. I assume with all the awards it was nominated for that the quality is pretty consistant. Hopefully that will continue into season 2 as well.

If you've falling behind with RTE2 episodes a repeat of season 2 episode 1 is on BBC1 @ 23:45 tonight (Sunday night was the first showing).

No, only on episode 4 season 1 at the moment so will catch season 2 some other time. Glenn Closes' character is brilliant and that young lawyer is as cute as they come:).

Do you not find her resembling some sort of stick insect, she is painfully thin and in need of a few good dinners

Finished season 1 last night, but don't think I'll bother following season 2. I really don't like the Ellen character and it looks like season 2 is going to be all about her again, if it was focussing more on Hewes, I'd be up for that, great character, but Ellen is insipid (not as insipid as her dead fiancee, but still).

ETA: Also, I was quite annoyed with the back and forthness and the constant padding. It would've made a pretty cool 2 hour movie or a good mini series, but not 13 hours of the same grainy clips over and over again. There's the ring, there's the ring, there's the ring, there's the dead body, there's the dead body, there's the dead body from a different angle, there's the dead body. Harumphh.

You'll see plenty more of Ellen in season 2, if you watch it. It follows that same back-and-forth style as the first, and grainy camera work in the "future" scenes. I like it though, keeps you guessing what's going to come, and just gives you tidbits of information in each episode. There did seem to be a bit more needless filler in season two though, it could have been 2 or 3 episodes shorter if they'd wanted.

I'm guessing there'll be a season 3 too, though what line that will follow isn't exactly clear cut.

Season 2 was good but not as good as season 1.

William hurt was awful in it.
