A busness client of mine has been trying to send me mails for the last month and I havent been getting them and I just found out why....Microsoft have labeled all eircom.net addresses as spam, I am really annoyed over this and switching back to gmail, but all my business litrature has my .live address, and microsoft dont allow you forward mail to another mail provider only between hotmail accounts.

I was doing a search on this and found your thread. I have a couple of customers who have the same issue. Its not specifically an eircom.net email address that gets blocked. It is any email going through the mail1.eircom.net. This can be any company/email address that is using that eircom smtp server.

I contacted eircom, through an eircom.net email address last august and they basically said to me not to use eircom's outgoing mail servers, because:
"due to the large number of residential subscribers (many of whom have little or no security software) using these generic mail servers, occasional blacklisting is inevitable."
At least they replied to me, unlike Microsoft

If you have certain customers who cant send you emails, you could get them to set up a live.ie address and route their email through smtp.live.ie. (this has to be authenicated with their username and password)

Otherwise, get another email address, or even your own domain, and use google apps to host your email

    Edit:
Sorry, Just noticed that you said you changed back to gmail. Unfortunately not much else you can do
