    Just got a Phoenix Audio DRS-1 pre.

    Designed by an ex Neve designer. I am blown away by how good this is!
    It is a perfect contrast to my APIs since it is smooth and fat rather than the API which is aggressive with loads of mid range bite. I tracked guitars today with DRS left and API right and got great stereo width. It also sounds really good on kick. The DI RULES for bass too.

    I have the option to upgrade it to the DRS-Q4 which is the 2 channel with EQ.
    I am very tempted but is a LOT of extra €s!.
