Presume this comes up every so often, looking to convert a VHS tape into a dvd. Living in the wicklow/bray area, any suggestions to where this can be done?

Well if you have access (or can get) to a DVD recorder you can do it yourself.

Just Play the tape in your standard VHS player
Then plug the scart from the VHS to the Input scart of your DVD recorder

Set the DVD to record from AV source and when the tape finishes playing just stop the DVD recorder

I'm sure there are photography shops that offer this service but I couldn't tell you how much they charge.

    hi there,
did you ever get sorted out with the VHS to dvd problem ?
I think i have the answer.
Either buy a Hard drive Recorder with the cables around 200 euros from philips.
or I know someone who could do them for you for less than Gardiner Street.
let me know if this helps.
